Date: Saturday 11th December
There is so much joy exploring the natural colour pallet and creating art materials from kitchen scraps and the plants the grow around you.
During this workshop you will learn how to identify plant matter that is reliable and effective for ink making, creating several extractions of colour to transform into ink.
You will gain an understanding of how to use binders and preservatives as well as exploring the alchemy of creating modifiers from metals, acids and alkalis that are used to transform and shift the colours.
Finally, you will make your own brushes and mark makers to then delve into using the various inks. Bring along some jars to take home samples of these inks as well as your mark makers so you can continue your discovery and explorations of botanical inks at home.
There will be a short 20 min break for lunch so please BYO your own lunch.
